Dehydration

It’s a hot summer and there are lots of things happening out side. Please remember that you need to drink lots of fluids (water, Juice) before, during, and after you are active or out in the sun. Dehydration occurs when your body loses too much fluid. This can happen when you stop drinking water or lose a large amount of fluid through diarrhea, vomiting, sweating or exercise.

Some Symptoms:

· Faint/ or feel faint

· Have muscle cramps

· Have dry/sticky mouth.

· Headache

· Dark yellow urine

Dehydration can be a life threatening condition. It can happen to anyone of any age, but is most dangerous for; babies, small children, and older adults. It can also severely affect anyone who has a chronic condition or who is on “Water Pills”, is a diabetic, has a heart condition or has kidney failure.
